Gasoline pump stops strike

Strikes by petrol pumps and oil tankers operating in three divisions of the country were postponed until 3 December. The decision was made after a meeting of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC), a state oil import and supply company, with the leaders of the Strike Gasoline Pump Owners Association.

The meeting was chaired by Syed Mehdi Hassan, director of the company (marketing) at the Bibisi Liaison office in Caravan Bazar on Monday, December 2, at 7:30 p.m.

Attending the meeting: the President of the Bangladesh Fuel Fuel Distributors Association, Syed Sajjadul Karim, Secretary-General Mizanur Rahman Ratan, the Board of Pump and Gas Tank Workers’ Unit, Vice President Senior MA Momin Dulal, The Divisional Secretary General of Petrampulse, Aslam Razak. Vice President M Mahbubul Alam, Senior Vice President Mohammad Sobhan Abdullah, General Manager Sheikh murada Secretary hosanesaha de Rajshahi, Bogra, Rangpur and Khulna anjalera representatives.
