Rocket strikes again in Iraq’s Green Zone

Three rockets were fired near the US Embassy in The Iraqi capital. The two of them came close to the US embassy and the satin siren went off. The Green Zone has government offices and foreign embassies. This was reported by international media, Reuters.

The rocket attack was carried out in baghdad’s Green Zone on Tuesday (January 21). No casualties have been reported so far.

The United States killed Iran’s top commander, Kasem Soleimani, in Baghdad on January 3, this year. After that, there was a war between the two countries. This is the first time in recent months that there have been several attacks in the Green Zone. The United States has blamed Iranian-backed paramilitary forces for the attacks. However, neither side has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
